Enlightenment is a benediction. It is a great gift that comes to one when one finally gives up demanding things from life. It is like an unexpected present from a stranger; as if somebody has rushed up to you in the street and given you a bunch of flowers, someone you have never seen before, without any cause at all. This is how enlightenment comes: unexpected; when the desires have dropped away; when the frustration and struggle has come to a fruitless end; when even hope itself has dried up. Then, in the space of hopelessness, the gift is given to you; the greatest gift existence can offer; the greatest gift you can receive in your life.

This benediction is not just for your benefit, for once you have allowed yourself to accept this gift, its energy will flow through you, to others. Thus will it spread. Indeed, others will feel you in a different way, once this benediction is alive in you; once it has become real in you; the grace; the tranquility; the beauty of existence flows this way. And it shall flow through your being. To those who are in the slightest sensitive, they will see it in you; see it in the way you move; feel it in your energy. And if they dare to look into your eyes, there they will see the light of the truth; the whole of existence; the spaciousness; the emptiness and the beauty; the whole benediction of enlightenment. Ah...
